Our aim is to promote and maintain good oral health for our patients and this is achieved through general dentistry, encompassing all aspects of dentistry.
We strongly believe that prevention is better than cure. This is why we promote routine dental examinations to detect problems at an early stage so the necessary treatment is simpler and easier. As a result, trips to the dentist become a much more pleasant experience.
Our consultations include a full medical history to identify any conditions of significance, a thorough dental examination, radiographs, study models and photographs when necessary. We will discuss all treatment options with you and provide a written estimate and treatment plan.
Our preventative treatments include :
Scale and Polish
Isn't it a great feeling when the teeth have been cleaned and polished and all the plaque, calculus and staining are removed, leaving your teeth feeling clean and fresh?
Oral Hygiene Sessions
How you clean and look after your teeth when you leave the dental clinic is so important to oral hygiene that we take the time to explain and demonstrate different methods to keep your mouth fresh and healthy. Did you know that it is better to use a fluoride mouthwash after a meal than to brush your teeth?
Diets have a huge impact on our oral health – this doesn't necessary mean that all sweet foods are restricted! By just changing the frequency, amounts and types of sweet foods, you can look after your teeth and health whilst still continuing to enjoy the foods you like.
Fissure Sealants cover the grooves and crevices on the surface of your molar teeth to create a smooth surface so that food and debris does not get caught in these areas and cause decay. This is a great way to protect your children's teeth.
Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by making the tooth more resistant to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars in the mouth. It also reverses early decay. In children under the age of six, fluoride is incorporated in the development of permanent teeth, making it difficult for acids to demineralize the teeth.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer is treatable if detected at an early stage and the majority of cases are found by dentists during routine dental examinations. This is a very important feature of our dental examinations.
