Procedure is performed under local anesthesia, either one or two places can be performed in one session.
Laser is used to cause emulsification of fat in a gentle way unlike conventional liposuction where mechanical force is used to disrupt the fat cells. The heat produced by laser also helps in breaking cellulite pockets and causing skin tightening.
Once the fat is liquefied either a syringe or low power suction is used to extract the fat and contour the areas.
Post-op recovery is quick in most cases people go to work in a day or two depending upon the areas performed and type of work. Mild pain killers are enough to take care of the discomfort.
The results are visible instantly in most situations however mild swelling can occur. Most of the swelling reduces in first 3-4 weeks and the improvement is evident every month thereafter.
A pressure garment is required for 10 days to 3 weeks.
