Beyond practicing surgery, she is also on the DHA panel, a professor, and a supporter for of Breast cancer and has contributed significant time and support towards the cause over the years.

education and training

Dr. Punam is a double board-certified female plastic surgeon from India, and she has acquired her Aesthetic Surgery training under the supervision of the late Prof. Pitanguy from Pontifical Catholic University Rio de Janeiro Brazil.

She also has a master’s degree in Science in International Management Health Systems from the University of Liverpool, UK.

Shas also been the Honorary Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at the Grant Medical College and JJ group of hospitals where she served the disadvantaged population of India.

Over the years her has worked in a handful of countries, Kingdom of Seychelles, Bahrain, UAE, and India. In her early years, she was based in Mumbai at the world-famous Jaslok hospital and Saifee hospital as Consultant Plastic Surgeon.  An ideal platform for a young surgeon to build her skills and experience.

She moved to the UAE in 2011 and since then she has served as served as the head of plastic & reconstructive surgery in the UAE for over 6 years now in a major hospital chain.

She has also been serving an active panel member for Dubai Health Authority for Licensing Plastic Surgeons, Laser, and Beauty Therapists in the UAE, since 2015.

With over two decades in practice, Dr. Punam is proficient in aesthetic surgery (breast, body and face for both women and men. She is also well-known as reconstructive surgery for post trauma, burns and cancer surgery.

Additionally, she has chaired and presented at several national and international meetings. She holds memberships in International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Life Member of Alumni of Ivo Pitanguy, Brazil, Association of Plastic Surgeons of India Member, Emirates Plastic Surgery Society- UAE (EPSS) Member, Hand Surgery Chapter of Emirates Medical Association Member, Maharashtra Chapter of Plastic Surgeons of India Life member, Indian Medical Association (IMA)
