Breast enlargement has become one of the most fashionable surgical procedures in the United Arab Emirates. Commonly referred to as a “boob job”, breast enlargement simply involves inserting saline filled bags or a silicone implant in the breast region. These implants are soft, supple, and available in a variety of different shapes and sizes, and can be customized according to the patient size and contour requirements.

A breast enlargement procedure takes about an hour and a half to perform and is done on an outpatient basis. The implants are placed either above or beneath the chest muscle or inserted using Dual Plane (a new surgical technique) depending on the patient’s special needs. Incisions are usually placed at the lower edge of the areola, underneath the breasts or in the armpit using Endoscope (another new technique being used by Cocoona).

It usually takes about five to six days for the incisions to heal, and any associated discomforts can be mitigated through medication.
